Wendy Frye's Art & Bio

​Wendy Frye grew up in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Her first introduction to clay was on a family vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. As a young girl she watched a man throw clay on a potter's wheel. They came home and her mother, brother, and she dug clay out of the ditch by their house. I was hooked! My work usually starts on the potter’s wheel. Some is functional and some sculptural. Most of my work is organic and nature inspired.
