Moonokie McIntire's Art & Bio
Moonokie McIntire was born in South Korea shortly after the Korean war. Times were rough. She and her sisters were placed into an orphanage.
As a young child, Moonokie developed an interest in art from her artistic father. Growing up, she would dabble with oil and watercolor painting, but due to the responsibilities of school, work, family and business, she had to set aside her passion for a season. However, that did not muzzle her creative expressions: hairstylist and salon owner, cosmetologist, flower arrangements, crafts, jewelry designs, missions work, community outreach and jail ministry.
Moonokie’s biggest cheerleader has been her husband. He thought that if he bought her some painting classes, she would experience that hidden desire to come alive. It did just that! When she picked up the brushes and began to paint, she found such JOY in painting the beautiful pictures that God created.
Moonokie appreciates attending more classes to broaden her artistic abilities. Many of her proceeds have been donated to various missions and charities.
She and her husband moved to Hot Springs last year and are enjoying the people and culture
