Bret Myer's Art & Bio
Bret Myers is originally from Houston Texas where he studied art from an early age under the guidance of his father, a commercial artist. He later won a scholarship to the University of Houston where he studied fine art for two years. Bret then pursued a career as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for 42 years until his recent retirement and move to Hot Springs Village with his wife Debra. He is now free to follow his true calling, his art.
Bret works in several mediums to include acrylics, watercolor and pencil. Realism is his interest and his subject matter is mostly landscapes and still lifes with an emphasis on detail. He has won several awards for his work and has many commissioned paintings in private collections across Texas and beyond.
