Emanuel Alvarez Valencia's Art & Bio
- Emanuel Alvarez Valencia was born in Zamora Michoacán México in 1981. He immigrated to the United States of America with his parents at age four in 1984. He grew up in Hot Springs National Park Arkansas, where he attended St John’s Catholic School, Lakeside high school, and Garland County Community College.
Emanuel joined the US Army after the attacks on 9-11-2001. He would serve in the Arkansas National Guard and eventually transfer to active duty where he served in the Infantry for nearly two decades. During his service he quickly became a Non-Commissioned Officer and assumed a multitude of leadership positions during his military career, to include Drill Sargent, Master Fitness trainer, Modern Army Connectives instructor, Instructor Writer of Army doctrine to name a few. He would earn a total of twenty two (22) Medals. He is a highly decorated US Army Veteran whose awards include the Bronze Star, the Army Expeditionary Medal, the Purple Heart, the Expert Infantry Badge, the Combat Infantry Badge and others.- Happy and grateful to have had the opportunity to serve, he has now chosen to dedicate the next chapter of his life to the creation of fine art to share with Hot Springs Arkansas, and the world.
