Caryl Joy Young Silent Auction
Caryl Joy Young passed away on March 2 of this year. She requested all of the art items in her storage area be gifted to Artists' Workshop Gallery to use in any way we wished. Jim, Rita, Pati and Alan Trippel met with Caryl Joy's husband, Terry on April 1st and picked up 46 frames, 21 paintings, 1 roller bag, and pastel supplies. A rolling easel was left behind because of the size, but is part of the inventory.
The consensus at the AWG April 2nd meeting was to display many of Caryl Joy's paintings on our extra panel and in the front window for the months of May and June in memory of her. These paintings will be for sale and all proceeds will go to AWG. We agreed also to have a silent auction on the Member's page of the website. The silent auction will be of all items we picked up at the Young's home (including the easel) and will begin on April 4th and continue through May 5th. About ten of her paintings will be in the May/June exhibit but if they do not sell for a higher price than the silent auction bid, the paintings will go to the highest bidder in the silent auction.
All the items in the silent auction are displayed below with the item # in the title. If you would like to bid on an item(s). Please email Pati Trippel at ptrippel@gmail.com and indicate the item# and the dollar amount bid for that item in the email. All bids will tallied and reported each Sunday by the end of the day in the document below.
