Irma McLeod's Art & Bio
Irma McLeod was born in Monterrey Mexico. She had older brothers that helped shape and encourage her creative development. From an incredibly young age she would spend countless hours drawing without ever realizing the passage of time. Formal business education and eventually a professional career pushed her away from her drawings. In her heart she forever wanted to delve back into painting.
Irma has a natural talent and is a self-taught painter that has spent endless hours researching and learning. She is a vivacious reader still exploring themes, styles, and techniques looking to find her place. Her primary art is in the acrylics world but is open to other types of mediums. She believes she still has a lot to learn. After two years traveling the U.S. looking for the perfect place to spend the rest of their lives, Irma and her husband settled in Hot Springs Village. Shortly after settling in Irma joined the Artists Workshop Gallery. She feels enormously grateful to all the members for giving her the opportunity to exhibit her work.
